MSD supported the Government of Nicaragua’s creation of its first Public Defender’s office and strengthen the function and operations of its Attorney General’s Office.  MSD’s role was the management of the deployment of short-term technical experts frequently within very short turn around times.  The cadre of technical assistance providers deployed included experts in the full range of rule of law areas, including Justice Sector Institutional Analysis, Justice Sector Strategy Development, Justice Sector Planning, and Justice Sector Technical Assistance.
